I need advice on how to pack my things.
- Use only quality boxes
- Make sure that you fill your boxes to the top to prevent them from collapsing.
- Heavy items such as books, CDs, and LPs should be stored in small boxes to make transportation easy.
- Always keep heavy items at the bottom of boxes
- Avoid positioning heavy items above fragile articles
- Always wrap up furniture with protective blankets
- Painting and mirrors should always be positioned vertically and never horizontally
- Dismantle any furniture where possible to maximize your loading space
- Never store flammable items, this is against the law
- Never store perishable items
- Never store wet or damp items
- Never store important items such as keys or passports

Can I store anything I want?
With BoxUp you can store any kind of item, however, for safety and security reasons, some exclusions apply.
Inflammable items should never be stored.
Ensure that you have removed fuel from any fuel tank.
Explosives cannot be stored.
For instance the gas bottle of a barbeque should never be stored.
Perishable items – always ensure that food has been removed from fridges and freezers.
Fire arms cannot be stored under any circumstances Illegal items (stolen property, counterfeit items, and some type of pornography).

Once my things have been stored at BoxUp, can I still access them?
Yes, you can access your personal storage area 24/7
Are my things really safe?
BoxUp takes every effort and precaution to ensure that our warehouse provides a safe, clean and secure environment for your belongings. Your storage area is protected by an independent alarm and is locked with your own personal padlock, with the key only available to you. We have also invested in monitored CCTV, and advanced intruder and fire alarm systems linked directly to our private surveillance firm.
After depositing my things at BoxUp, are they protected by an insurance policy?
All items stored are insured against many risks such as fire, theft due to forced entry, flood, and impact by aircraft.
